A refined dining space where Middle Eastern heritage and contemporary European elegance meet in perfect harmony.
About the project
Tradition Reimagined in Modern Mayfair
Located in the heart of Mayfair and serving London’s elite for over three decades, this Lebanese restaurant underwent a complete redesign to align its rich heritage with today’s contemporary aesthetic. The concept centers on blending traditional Islamic motifs with a soft, modern European sensibility, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere within a compact space. A nearly monochromatic palette sets an elegant tone, while subtle warmth emanates from the aluminum brass-colored latticed grill that lines the walls — a sophisticated nod to Middle Eastern opulence.
The latticed grill is the defining element of the interior. Inspired by classic Islamic patterns, it has been reinterpreted in a softer, more contemporary form through bespoke laser-cut aluminum panels finished in golden hues. Illuminated from both the front and the back, these panels create an illusion of depth and sculptural volume. The grill gracefully wraps around the soft, pebble-like silhouette of the pure white lacquered bar, weaving through the space and unifying the restaurant into a seamless, immersive dining environment where tradition and modernity elegantly converge.
